Yeep Tag

Yeep Tag

Push off the ground, trees and pillars with your hands to move, Gorilla Tag style. Dodge the infected Yeeps: whoever they touch is infected too. Hide for 5 minutes, or get infected and tag everybody.

Controls and how to play
VR
You're a Yeep with a Yeep's own arms, sitting belly-down on the grass. Movement is the Gorilla Tag script you sent, with sticky hands: each hand is a 10 cm ball that follows your controller (up to 1.7 m from your head). The floor is about half a meter below your eyes, so bend and reach down with your hands. A hand stops at the ground, a block, a wall or a tree and sticks to it, and your body moves the other way as you move the controller: pull the floor back to crawl, press down to hop, shove off a wall, block or pillar to fly, pull down on a wall to climb. Lift the hand off to let go. When your last hand lets go you keep the speed of your last 10 frames times 1.3 (up to 7 m/s), and gravity does the rest. Right stick turns. Every touch thumps, buzzes and shows a ring, and a dark spot under each hand shows how close it is to the ground. Build: press B (right controller) for the block menu, pinch a block with your trigger, turn your hand to turn it, and let go to throw it; it poofs into a solid block you can climb (blocks cost cotton, which slowly comes back). Press Y (left controller) for the weapon menu: a buttjo costs 500 cotton and a rose 300. Pinch it to hold it, swing it into a Yeep to knock it away like a punch, or flick your hand and let go of the trigger to throw it. The buttjo breaks on the first hit and knocks the Yeep away; the rose wilts on the first hit and pulls the Yeep in to you, leaving a red trail behind it. Both can hit anybody, even whoever is IT. There is no punching. Yeeps buy buttjos and roses too and swing or throw them at you and at each other (a Yeep's rose pulls you in to it). Tag with a hand or your head. Squeeze a grip next to a Yeep and hold on to grab it, then let go mid-swing to throw it. Yeeps will grab and throw you too, but nobody can grab whoever is infected, and Yeeps leave you alone while you are infected. Poke the color bar above your left wrist to change your color, and press X (left controller) to hide or show that bar.
Infection
One Yeep starts as the tagger. A round lasts 5 minutes. Whoever a tagger touches (or hits with a snowball, rose, buttjo or bat) is infected too and joins the tagger team: they glow orange and get a red outline you can see through walls. The infected never fight each other, and they throw snowballs and roses a lot, and seekers get a free pin: the Y menu (key 9 on a screen) has it once you are a seeker. Throw it: whoever it hits is tagged and the pin stays stuck in their body until the next round. Seeker Yeeps always use pins. If time runs out and anybody is still uninfected, the hiders win. If everybody is infected, the seekers win. You can be either: touch someone to infect them, or hide. Nobody punches: Yeeps fight with weapons, and a Yeep that sees your hand or weapon coming raises its guard and can block. When you or a Yeep is knocked out, a ragdoll drops. Shadows can be turned off with K on a screen.
Scoreboard
Each visit the Yeeps get new random names, colors, jobs and IQs. Fighters gang up on the infected while builders wall them off. The SCOREBOARD stands to the near the start (KOs, tags, deaths, cotton), and a radar shows where everybody is: raise your left wrist in VR, top right on a screen.
Server
Poke the SERVER button near the start (or press J, or use Join server above) to join a room. Friends who type the same room code appear as Yeeps in your world and you play tag together. Online it is players only: the Yeep bots step out, and blocks and weapons are not shared yet. No Claude invitation is required. Use the same WSS address and room code as your friends.
Talking
Look at a Yeep and press T (on a screen) or click the left thumbstick (in VR) to chat with it: type on the keyboard, or poke the floating keyboard with your hand. The picked Yeep has a yellow arrow; click a name or press Tab to pick another. You can also just say a Yeep's name out loud. Yeeps answer in their own SAM robot voice, coming from where they stand. Try: follow me, come here, stay, hide, dance, go get Bork, who is infected, how much time is left, tell me a joke. Smarter Yeeps spread out when hunting, hide behind boxes, and lead their throws.
Screen
WASD move, Space jump, Shift sprint, mouse look (click or drag), V third person, C changes color, 1-4 pick a block, E throws it, Z undoes, Y or 5 buys a buttjo (500 cotton), 6 a rose (300), 7 a snowball (250, freezes whoever it hits for 10 seconds), 8 a stuffed bat (500, yours for good: swing or throw it, it never breaks, smashes blocks and comes back to your hand; 8 again puts it away), 9 a pin (seekers only, free: tags whoever it hits and sticks in them), F or mouse click swings it, R throws it (either breaks on the first hit), hold G to grab a Yeep and release to throw it where you look.
